I may skip the rum punch, but St. Lucia still gets me tipsy - on views! πΎπ
I've been lucky enough to travel to St. Lucia a few times over the years - and honestly, it's one of those islands that just wraps around you. Between the dramatic Pitons, lush rainforests, and the friendliest locals, it's pure Caribbean magic.
Most ships dock at Pointe Seraphine, right near Castries, and once you step off, the island is yours to explore. I've done the excursions and the tours...but truth be told? My favorite thing to do here is simple - find a beach, kick off my sandals, and just chill. π
πCruise Ships & Excursions You'll Want to Know
If you're feeling adventurous, cruise lines offer some fantastic options:
β¨Soufriere by Land & Sea - a perfect combo of sightseeing, beach time, and a coast cruise to the Pitons.
πOpen Fun Bus Tour - lively music, laughs, beach stops, and a ride along the coastline that's pure Caribbean joy.
And sure, everyone will hand you a rum punch the minute you arrive - but let's be real...I'm a Prosecco, white wine, and champagne kind of girl. πΎSo, I just smile, take a sip, and think, "Cute, but where's the bubbly?"π
π‘PamRoc Tip:
Keep an eye on the weather - the seas around St. Lucia can get a little sassy (aka choppy) in the afternoons. If you're planning to hop on a catamaran or coastal cruise, go earlier in the day and save the lazy beach lounging for later.
For me, St. Lucia is that perfect mix of adventure and ease. You can explore a volcano one minute and float in turquoise water the next. Every visit reminds me why I love this island so much - beautiful, vibrant, and the perfect place to sip something sparkling while you watch the waves roll in.π
